Rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Elmacı, chaired by the Governor of Amasya Mustafa Masatlı, made a visit to Merzifon OIZ with a delegation including our Deputy Hasan Çilez, Merzifon District Governor Gürkan Demirkale, institution directors and Merzifon OIZ Director Hasbi Altuntaş. During the visit, Merzifon ARTEX Endüstri Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. was also visited.
Rector Elmacı, who received information from the authorities by visiting Merzifon ARTEX Endüstri Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. and Zen-Tek Factories together with the delegation said, "The companies operating in Merzifon OIZ make a great contribution to the economy of both our country and Amasya. As Amasya University, we strive to pave the way for businesses and to train qualified staff they need. Thanks to the projects carried out in the factories we visit today, "5 Axis CNC Machines" imported from abroad will be produced in the Artex Cutting Tools company in Merzifon. This is a source of pride and hope for our city and country, "he said.
Elmacı continued his words with the following statements. "While operating in Istanbul, by establishing a new factory in Merzifon Organized Industrial Zone and recently started its operations by the cutting tool manufacturer Arteks, it is not produced in our country and imported from abroad for an average price of 300 thousand Euros. Prof. Dr. M. Burak Bilgin, one of our university's Faculty of Technology Mechanical Engineering faculty members, was responsible for the application and technical consultancy of the KOSGEB R&D INNOVATION project aimed at producing a prototype of approximately 65 thousand Euros.
