The 2nd Erasmus+ Staff Week event was held by Amasya University International Relations Unit. It was succesfully completed with the participation of 19 academicians from 9 different countries. In this event, which included Turkish and Ottoman food presentation and cooking trainings, they learned how to cook food and tasted the food. Amasya University Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman ELMACI said that in addition to the promotionof Turkish/Ottoman dishes, it is of great importance to introduce regional dishes and products to foreign guests, and to learn about the richness of Turkish culture and cuisine. Introducing and tasting local vegetables, especially okra, has been a great experience for people who have never tasted it before. The visits of foreign academicians to our university and our city make a great contribution to the promotion and tourism of the region.

Academicians rolled dough and made mantı. The other day they made stuffed leaves. Afterwards, they cooked and tasted their own food. They had to oppotunity to travel Cappadocia and Boraboy Lake. They visited our mayor, Mr. Bayram Çelik, in his office and had the opportunity to meet him. They had the opportunity to chat with our Mayor, who welcomed them with gifts, in a friendly atmosphere. They had the opportunity to taste Amasya's famous cherry in season. They stated that they had a great experience when they left our country and that they left our country with very good memories.
