Amasya University International Relations Unit is preparing to hold the 1st Erasmus Staff Week event.
The event, which will be held between 8-12 May 2023, will be attended by 21 academic staff from 8 different countries who are experts in their fields. As the first organization received many applications, it was decided to organize the 2nd Erasmus Staff Week event. The event is planned to be held between 12-16 June 2023.
Lecturer Arslan Say, Head of International Relations Unit, made a statement on the subject; “In the first event, which will contribute significantly to our internationalization process, an internationalization workshop, and a social event to introduce Amasya University and Amasya's historical and cultural sites and a short Cappadocia trip will be organized. In the 2nd Staff Week between 12-16 June 2023, in addition to the promotion of Amasya University and Amasya's historical and cultural sites, the academic staff we will host will receive hands-on training on Turkish/Ottoman cuisine. In this event, our university's Social Sciences Vocational School's restaurant and catering services department will be used and the academic staff of the department will provide training on cooking with the distinguished flavors of Turkish/Ottoman cuisine.
Amasya University Rector Prof. Dr. Suleyman ELMACI said that we believe that this event will have a positive impact on the progress and awareness of our university and our city in the international arena. I would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to the organization of the events, and I also invite all our academic and administrative staff and students to this organization.” He also expressed that they aim to increase the recognition of Amasya and Amasya University in European Union countries by increasing Erasmus+ Mobilities and promoting bilateral cooperation with these events. “
