I. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
Parallel to scientific and technological advances, the purpose
of the program is to educate qualified and professional persons who
meet the need of the production sector foremost electric energy and

II. WHY ENROLL İN THE ELECTRICAL PROGRAM?
A 200 billion dollar investment in the electric energy sector is
planned in Turkey between 2010 and 2030 (EPDK). The electric energy
investments include mainly production stations, transmitting and
distribution lines and are increasing every day. Moreover, the
industrial production in our country is increasing rapidly and with
this, in maintenance, reparation, fertility and mainly automation a
great number of qualified persons are needed.
III. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATES
The lack of qualified employment in energy, machine production,
chemistry, automotive, nutrition, home appliance, construction,
transportation, textile, mining, tourism, telecommunication,
defense and mainly official sectors may provide employment
opportunities for graduates of this program. Through their
education, the graduates may work as intermediate staff in many
departments of all official and private sectors.
IV. COURSES AND LABORATORIES
PLC AND SCADA LABORATORY
In our laboratories, S7200, S7300/400 belonging to the firm of
SIEMENS and new generation S71200 PLC teachings are carried

ELECTROMECHANIC REMOTE CONTROL LABORATORY
Electromechanic is a remote control and control system which is
still used in many industrial foundations. By emphasizing remote
control components and new generation control units during the
courses, information is provided for convenient production
The students can use all basic feature measuring tools
(Multimeter, Pens Amperemeter, Energy Analyzer, DAQ card…etc.)
belonging to electric energy and they can measure and interpret
based on practice.
ELECTRIC MACHINES LABORATORY
This laboratory includes experiments such as taking out the
equivalent circuits of synchronous, asynchronous, direct current
and power distribution units, moments of cycle and exiting, power
changes and supplying the parallel binding…etc.
V. INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE
Students in the Electrical Program required to take a 30-working
day training based on industry at the end of each year, and be
experienced in industrial employment.
VI. INDUSTRIAL TECHNICAL TRIPS/TOURS
For educational activities, several trips/tours are organized
regularly to the industrial foundations in the region where the
students increase their vocational information.
