Erasmus+ Policy Statement
Since 2007 Amasya University has been an institution offering
academic excellence and is one of leading institutions of higher
education in Turkey.
With the awareness of being in middle of Turkey , Amasya is one
of the prominent historical cities of Turkey. Amasya Üniversity has
elite academic staff and over 14,000 students, academic
units including Medicine, Theology Faculties, Education Faculty,
Sceince and Art Faculty, Architecture Faculty, Divinity Faculty,
Institute of Sceince, Institute of Social Sceince, School of Health
and Vocational Schools. Amasya University, providing
education to world's highest standards with its above-described
characteristics, opens its gates to mobility students and
international students in parallel to our internationalization
Developing an efficient cooperation network based on mutual
benefit at international level with institutions throughout the
world is one of the most important strategic goals of our
University. Amasya University's future strategy towards Erasmus+
Programme is based on developing the current relations with our
partner European universities and establishing new learning
mobility agreements and cooperation projects in addition to the
Amasya University participated in Erasmus+ Programme in
2007-2013 academic year like other universities in
Turkey. As a result of good relations maintained with
European institutions throughout years, In parallel to Europe's
2020 vision, our University aims to maximize the number of future
graduates who have benefited from the program.
Amasya University emphasizes on mobility at all levels of
education. In order to provide the participation of students from
all levels (short, first, second and third),
There hasn't been any issue of discrimination since the program
was launched in our University in 2007-2013. Selection of students
to benefit from the Program is being made by a Commission composed
of Departmental Erasmus+ Coordinators, academic staff and Erasmus+
Institutional Coordinator. Likewise, members of academic staff are
also selected by a similar commission. Selection process is fully
transparent and results are published on the website in detail.
In addition to the Erasmus+ Programme, our university has signed
scientific and educational protocol agreements with a total of 23
different universities from 13 countries.
Amasya University structures its curriculum in parallel to
European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and National Qualifications
Framework and target to graduate its students that are compliant
with the community's economic and social needs.
As a result of our participation in the program, Amasya
University has conducted broad activities within the scope of
implementation of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). ECTS
provides international mobility and horizontal/vertical transfers
to be realized readily.
